The Halloween event has finally arrived in Fortnite, and it brings a free skin! This year, Epic Games released Pyg the Butcher, a new skin that is available for a limited time. In addition to it, players can also unlock a couple of other cosmetics, including Pyg’s pickaxe and back bling.
This year’s Fortnitemares event is certainly the biggest one, and all the rewards from it will be available over the next three weeks. In addition to the free cosmetics, Epic will release many others to the Item Shop, including Ghostface, Jason Voorhees, and Art.
How to unlock a free Halloween skin in Fortnite?
Unlocking a free Halloween skin in Fortnite is very easy this year. To get it, you only need to play the game and level up. Any levels that you earn will count towards your progress, regardless of whether you earn them in Battle Royale, Reload, Creative, or any other mode.
To unlock Pyg the Butcher skin, you need to earn 15 Account Levels between October 9 and November 1. This is less than a level per day, which can be easily earned. However, if you need extra help, check out our list of the best XP maps in Fortnite.
In addition to the skin, you will unlock a couple of other cosmetics as you level up. These include Pyg’s pickaxe and back bling, which look perfect. Unlocking these items is also easy, and you will receive a new cosmetic approximately every two levels.
