Several big Fortnite changes have arrived with the last update. Epic Games released a new patch on Tuesday, September 12, adding a lot of new content to the game. Considering this was the first major update of Chapter 4 – Season 4, it’s no surprise that the update has brought big gameplay changes.

The highlight of the update is certainly the second Fortnite x My Hero Academia collaboration. Not only has it brought three new skins, but Todoroki’s Ice Wall, a new Mythic ability, also arrived with it.

Besides adding new items, Epic vaulted Slap Juice. Fortunately, the item was replaced by Pizza Party, which received a massive buff. Many other gameplay changes have come with the v26.10 update, and here is a summary.

These Fortnite changes will force players to change their playstyle

Pizza Party will be a suitable replacement for Slap Juice. It now heals 5 HP and 30 Shield per slice and can also heal players to maximum HP and Shield. While it doesn’t provide a stamina boost, it’s still a fantastic item for healing.

Epic Games has improved vault security with the latest update. Vault gates can now eliminate players, vehicles, and deployable items if they close on them. This likely means that using the Rocket Ram to smash through vault gates is quite risky after the new update.

Surprisingly, Epic nerfed fishing holes on Tuesday as well. Before the update, the spawn chance of fishing holes was 60 to 80%, but it was nerfed to 30-40%. This is an odd change, but considering that fishing is not very popular, it shouldn’t affect too many players.

Finally, the Kinetic Blade was updated to cancel equipped Balloons. The popular Fortnite weapon will likely be unvaulted for the Fortnitemares event, which is why Epic Games modified it slightly. While this hasn’t been confirmed, there’s a chance that a Mythic variant of the item will arrive during the event.
