Epic Games finally released Fortnite’s first-person mode. According to leakers, this feature has been in development for approximately two years. It’s one of the most exciting additions to the game, so it’s no surprise that the community has been hyped for it. The feature is out now, but it’s still in the experimental phase.

In this article, we will explain how you can enable the new perspective in Fortnite.

How to enable first-person mode in Fortnite

The new feature is currently available in UEFN, meaning that you can use it in your Creative maps. Unfortunately, it’s still in the experimental phase, which prevents you from publishing maps created in this perspective. According to Epic Games, publishing islands will be possible when the feature enters Beta later this year.

To enable first-person mode in Fortnite, you need to add the First Person Camera Mode device to your UEFN map. You can simply open your island with UEFN and drop the device anywhere on it. Once you do this, you will get a new perspective when you load into your game.

Many content creators have already tried out the new feature, and we have to say that it looks incredible!

Since the feature is still experimental, some weapons still don’t have custom reload animations. When using dual-wield weapons, the camera will automatically switch to the third person. Furthermore, some movement animations, such as swimming and skydiving, aren’t available in the first-person mode either, and this will remain the case with the Beta release.

For now, Fortnite players are unable to publish islands that have the first-person mode device. However, if you’d like to try the new perspective, head over to UEFN and add the new mode to your island.
