The current Fortnite season will be over in less than 20 days, which is why it’s no surprise that Epic Games is preparing another event. The event will introduce us to Season 2, and according to recent leaks, it will be amazing. With the release of the latest update, Epic added several important event files, hinting at the future of the game.

The v28.30 Fortnite update, which came out on Thursday morning, nearly confirmed the theme of Chapter 5 Season 2. As it was previously leaked, the season will have a Greek mythology team. However, before it begins, Epic will release a new in-game event that will feature several mythology elements. The event should begin within a few days, and here’s all you need to know about it.

The next Fortnite event will introduce us to Season 2

The next Fortnite season will come out on March 8, if everything goes according to plan. It will bring a new Battle Pass, unique gameplay items, map changes, and much more. On top of that, the season will be introduced by an event, which is something many players are excited about. According to Hypex, the most reputable Fortnite leaker, the event will have many elements, from lava to tornadoes.

The Fortnite leaker also believes that the event will be preceded by earthquakes, which should start happening soon. These earthquakes will likely uncover a new object that will be located near Ruined Reels. This object looks like something out of Greek mythology and is likely Hephaestus, a Greek mythology god, holding Pandora’s box.

Considering that the next season is scheduled to begin in less than three weeks, the event may start soon. While the exact start date hasn’t been released, it will likely happen over the last 10 days of the current Fortnite season. Due to this, we expect the event to begin within just a few days. The v28.30 update was the last major update of Chapter 5 Season 1, and no more content will be added until Season 2.

It’s important to note that the upcoming event will not be a live event. Instead, it will periodically occur on the island, slowly introducing us to the theme of the next season.
