As Epic Games is preparing for the release of Season 4, another Fortnite downtime is around the corner. Considering that every major update requires servers to go down, this doesn’t come as a surprise. However, we do expect longer downtime this time, simply because the update will be massive and will require more preparation.
In this article, we’ll take a look at when the next Fortnite downtime starts in every region. Once it begins, you will no longer be able to access the game. Due to this, make sure to finish all the quests and unlock Battle Pass rewards before servers go down.
When does Fortnite downtime start?
The next Fortnite downtime will start shortly before the release of Chapter 5 Season 4. In Eastern Time, this will start at 11 PM, which you can see on the Battle Pass screen. Furthermore, it’s important to note that Epic Games will disable matchmaking 15 to 30 minutes before the servers go down. This means that you won’t be able to start a new match, but you can finish a match in progress.
On Wednesday night, Epic officially confirmed the date and time of the next Fortnite downtime. As previously announced, it will begin on Thursday night in the United States and South America. However, if you’d like to know when it will begin in your region, we have everything you need to know.
