The Isle of Doom is one of the biggest additions to Fortnite Season 4. Not only is the spawn chance of the isle very low, but capturing it is also difficult. Due to this, many players still haven’t had a chance to play as Doctor Doom and use one of the strongest Mythic items in Fortnite’s history. If you are one of these players, we have a trick that you can use to increase your chance of capturing the island.
NickEh30, one of the most popular Fortnite content creators, recently shared a strategy to get the Mythic power. If you follow his steps, you will be more successful in obtaining the power and getting the Victory von Doom.
How to capture the Isle of Doom in Fortnite
Epic Games has changed the spawn chance of the Isle of Doom several times. At first, the chance was only 5%, which was increased to 12%, then 25 and 30. As of the v31.20 update, which came out on September 17, the spawn chance is 12%. However, considering how many players enjoy using Doom’s power, Epic may increase it soon.
To get the powerful Mythic, not only do you have to be lucky, but also skilled. Even if the island spawns, you still need to capture it and grab the power before all the other players in your lobby. This is certainly easier said than done, but if you use the newest trick, you’ll have a better chance of succeeding.
As NickEh30 showed in the video, the trick is to let your opponent capture the Isle of Doom. For this to work, you need to step away from the capturing circle, but not far away from it. You want to stay on its edge, and once the island is captured, you need to run to the cauldron and interact with it to capture the power.
This strategy is more viable in the classic Battle Royale mode with building, as you can easily hide. However, you may also give it a try in Zero Build modes.
