The launch of UEFN maps in Fortnite opened up new possibilities for loopers looking to maximize their Battle Pass progression. With the community’s desire for quick XP gains, there is a clear preference among players for maps with substantial XP rewards.

XP glitch maps have grown in popularity, offering players an almost effortless way to accumulate XP without the usual grind of completing challenges. These maps use in-game elements to award excessive XP at a rate considerably exceeding Epic Games’ intentions, sparking a heated debate within the community concerning fairness and gameplay integrity.

The pull of XP glitch maps is apparent, attracting thousands of players eager to sidestep the traditional progression system. In response, Fortnite recently took a tough position and issued a strong warning that makers of XP glitch maps will face immediate bans.

Fortnite issues warning to AFK, XP, and Coin Slide UEFN map makers

The official FNCreate account posted a fair warning directed towards Fortnite UEFN map creators who use terms like XP and AFK in their map titles, thumbnails, and metadata. Epic said, “Coins and terms like “AFK” and “XP” are being used in island thumbnails, titles, and other metadata to mislead players into believing that they can earn or unlock an impossibly high amount of XP. Spoilers, they don’t”, as they cleared their terms and conditions that each creator agrees to while signing up.

Furthermore, they continued, “Our rules (1.13) prohibit using misleading content like this in your metadata. You have until February 4 to remove any misleading content like this, including references to AFK, XP, Coin farm, Coin slide or images of Fortnite coins (or similar coins). We will be removing this content from our ecosystem and creators will receive escalating penalties – including impacts to monetization, island removal, and account suspension.”

While this only goes for the metadata that openly advertises that the said map is an XP or an AFK map where players can farm XP endlessly, it hasn’t been made clear yet whether the content inside the island will face any strict consequences.

Upon hearing this, several map makers were left shocked as one wrote, “This is a very good step forward and overall a healthy change for the creative ecosystem. Thank you for listening to the community and taking action !”

Another asked about using coins in the thumbnail, “Can we still have vending machines in the thumbnail because there is a coin icon on the device?”, to which Epic replied, “Any coin imagery in your thumbnail will not be allowed.”

While these maps are still live in Fortnite and UEFN, check out all the best XP maps you can play to level up faster in Chapter 6 Season 1.
