The Fortnite map is on the brink of another transformation. With the launch of Chapter 6 – Season 2 on February 21, Epic Games is set to introduce a lot of exciting new content. From a brand-new Battle Pass to an arsenal of fresh weapons, the game will feel fresh and new once again. Additionally, players can look forward to exploring several new locations across the island.
The newest Fortnite trailer gave us an early look at the island changes that will come later this week. It turns out that Epic has prepared a couple of new POIs, several landmarks, and much more.
What will the new Fortnite map look like?
Before we get into details, it’s important to note that Epic will not release a new island with the next Fortnite season. This is reserved for new chapters, and Chapter 7 won’t arrive by the end of the year. Instead, the game developer will change the existing island, adding new locations and possibly another biome.
The trailer revealed a new gold mine location, which perfectly aligns with the upcoming season’s heist theme. The mine features a grind rail and a new NPC, who will likely sell explosive items. Additionally, the mine will probably include a vault and extra loot, though we’ll have to wait for the season’s release to confirm.
In addition to the mine, the next Fortnite season will introduce Baron’s Mansion, a location similar to Grand Glacier from Chapter 5. It’s expected to replace Lost Lake, bringing a fresh point of interest to the island. The trailer showcases armed guards stationed at the mansion’s entrance, suggesting the presence of a new boss and another vault.
Although not all map changes have been revealed, the upcoming season is packed with exciting updates. With its release just around the corner on February 21, the wait is almost over, and we’ll soon be able to explore all the new additions for ourselves!
