The Delulu mode has become so popular in Fortnite that even the Epic Games CEO had to try it. The mode features battle royale action, but with a twist. It has no building, but it does have proximity chat. To make it even more unique, players cannot enter the mode with their teammates. Instead, they have to form squads on the fly.
Tim Sweeney, the company’s CEO, recently gave it a shot. Sweeney ended up winning the match and earning a victory umbrella, and he did all that without even eliminating anyone! The Fortnite boss did not fire a single shot during his Victory Royale, which makes the win even more impressive.
Epic Games CEO won a Fortnite Delulu match in a fantastic way
Delulu has become quite a big hit over the past seven days. Epic first released it on Thursday, allowing content creators early access to the new game mode. A day later, everyone was given a chance to play it, as the game mode stayed active over the weekend.
In the first session, more than half a million players earned a victory umbrella from the game mode. Tim Sweeney, Epic Games co-founder and CEO, was one of them.
Sweeney posted a screenshot of his victory on X, showing off his peaceful victory. As the screenshot shows, the Fortnite boss had no eliminations or assists, finishing the match with zero damage. Despite taking nearly 500 damage, he managed to survive until the very end and outlive everyone else on the island.
The second session of Delulu mode was activated on Friday at 9 AM Eastern Time and will stay active until Monday. This time, it is possible to win as a squad, so you won’t have to go through all the trouble that Sweeney and other winners had to go through in the first week.
