The Kendrick / Drake beef has dominated the internet in the past few months. While it may have quietened down following the the ‘Not Like Us’ track, a former Fortnite developer has revived it with a chiptune browser-based game signifying Drake’s defeat.
Not Like Us: The Game was developed by Richie Branson. As a former developer on Fortnite, the game is unfortunately not a play on the Battle Royale genre. Instead, you click in different directions to beat up owls – the motif that Drake wears as his symbol.
In-game, you play as a character – seemingly Kendrick himself – whacking owls with a baseball bat. It’s nothing complex, and it’s definitely not in-line to win a Game of the Year award or anything, but it’s still an entertaining experience for anyone interested. You can play it here. The hook from the song gets turned into a cool chiptune beat, and it will also act as a timer for you to hit the owls.

The game, like the song itself, doesn’t skip a beat at getting straight to the point. “Tryna strike a chord, it’s probably A Minor” as the lyrical accusation goes. Similarly, your target is to hit the high-score of 69, another reference to the “he a 69 God” bar.
Kendrick Lamar recently performed the song five consecutive times, summoning Dr. Dre for one of the performances. A new verse was also present, this time calling for Drake to return one of the relics of Tupac. It’s been a rough couple of weeks recently for Drake, who was severely embarrassed by the Argentina Men’s national football team after losing out on a $300,000 bet against them too. To add further insult to injury, Not Like Us has just returned to the no. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 charts.
I’ve had a few attempts at playing through the game, and each time I can’t get past 21. Another dig at Drake, I assume.
