It’s that time of year again, the new Football Manager game is out! As with all games upon release we are expecting a couple of teething problems that should be ironed out pretty quick.
Our time in the game so far has been great. Thanks to FM24 early access, we have already put hours into the game in an effort to piece together our FM24 review of arguably the best version of FM ever.
However, certain members in the community have encountered some interesting experiences during their short time with the game so far, including some rather off job offers!
“What the f***?”
“What the f***?” That is the reaction of one reddit user upon receiving a job offer in FM24. The fact that it is Liverpool offering the job is not the reason for the reaction, although it may be for some!
Club rivalries aside, the reason for the shocking reaction is quite obvious, so let’s set the scene.
“I’m playing a long-term save with a club I made in create-a-club. I finished runner-up in the Premier League to Man City, and a week later I get a job offer from Liverpool.”
So far, so good. A successful start to their career, with one of the world’s biggest clubs sniffing around looking to sign them.
But no, Liverpool’s offer came with some interesting choice of words, to which the manager in question was quite rightly miffed.
“All I can say is the level of entitlement in that email was shocking. They complimented my ‘fabulous performance’ with my current club, and then said they had some doubts about my ability to fulfill their vision because of my lack of experience winning league titles.
“You’re the ones cold calling me, shouldn’t they have to sell the job to me somewhat?”
We can’t help but agree here. If a company approaches you, it should be there role to try and entice you away, rather than insult you about your potential lack of experience.

FM24 out now
The worldwide release of Football Manager 2024 is here. The official X account of Football Manager announced the release with the words “finding the next wonderkid never stops.”
How right they are! Fortunately, we have had access to the game for a couple of weeks already, allowing us to put together our own list of the FM24 best wonderkids to sign.
While this list may not promise the best players, it will certainly give you an idea of the young stars with the highest potential.
From there, it is then up to you to develop them to the best of their abilities. For help with this, it is worth knowing who the FM24 best coaches to hire are.
