SEGA and Sports Interactive have announced the release of Football Manager Handheld 2011 for iOS devices. The game, which will set you back a fairly steep £6.99 on the App Store, lets you take control of all areas of management, including picking the squad and tactics, choosing team instructions and arranging new transfers – across 34 leagues in 11 countries.

Other features include:

– More than one country active in a game

– Give your players specific roles on the pitch

– A wider variety of formations to chose from

– In-game tutorial to guide you through the most in depth football management game in the App Store

– Real world stadium finder will guide you to your club, and then back to your car!

£6.99 seems like a lot for an iOS game, a platform where 59p is incredibly common, but FM Handheld 2011 is the sequel to the extremely impressive Football Manager Handheld 2010. On the other hand, the visually spectacular Infinity Blade recently hit the App Store at half the price of SEGA’s latest.
