Publisher Maxima Games has given a June 28 release date to upcoming survival horror FOBIA – St. Dinfna Hotel.
The news comes along with a new gameplay spotlight trailer for the game, showcasing some of its mechanics. You’ll be exploring the mysterious hotel as investigative journalist Roberto Leite Lopes. Handily, he’ll have access to a mystical camera that can also see into the past, present and future.
You’ll have to use the camera’s unique powers to solve puzzles in the haunted hotel. There’s a touch of the modern Resident Evil entries in the gameplay footage, with the hotel sporting its own spacious lobby not unlike Resi 2‘s police station, complete with elaborate puzzle mechanisms.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a modern survival horror without some creepy creatures, so we get a glimpse of combat too. You’ll probably want to be avoiding fighting for the most part, and the sight of these fleshy-spider things certainly helps encourage that. Probably fine to skip the end of the video if you’re a bit of an arachnophobe.
FOBIA – St. Dinfna Hotel is set to arrive on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 & PC on June 28. The game was first announced back in December of last year.
