Back in July Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon said that he was stepping away from the jumpscare series in order to concentrate on other areas of his life, seemingly cancelling development of the sixth game. Now this week it appears he’s made his comeback with a lo-fi pizzeria simulator set in the Freddy’s universe. It may not be all it appears.

The game, entitled Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, launched last night as a free download via Steam with screenshots and description claiming it to be a lo-fi pizza simulator ‘with a lighter touch for the holidays’. Steam reviews for the game are painting a much darker picture, with plenty of reviews along the lines of ‘It’s not what it claims to be‘ and ‘THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS‘

There’s obviously, a lot of other evidence with YouTube videos out there, but of course half the fun is in discovering it for yourself, so we won’t post them here. Still, the general consensus appears to be that this is indeed Five Nights at Freddy’s 6 or similar.

If you’re brave enough to give it a go and find out for yourself, it’s right here.
