Code Vein, the recently revealed IP from Bandai Namco, follows up on the announcement trailer with a first look at some of the gameplay. Showcased at Anime Expo 2017, it gives us our first glance at how the aptly fan titled ‘Anime Dark Souls’ is coming along.

What’s apparent from the gameplay trailer is that Code Vein doesn’t seem to be as ruthless as a Souls game; the enemies look, dare I say it, a bit slower on first impressions. The game is still in-progress, however, so AI may well be adjusted over the development process.

As mentioned, Code Vein is very much an in-development project, but this gives us our first look at how the game is coming along. Check out the trailer for yourself for a look at the morbid world of Code Vein, and some of the enemy types so far.
