Code Vein, the new IP from Bandai Namco which was teased a couple of weeks ago, has an announcement trailer. Called Bloodlust, it shows off some extremely bloody combat, with clawed hands being plunged into hearts. It confirms that Code Vein is coming in 2018.

It also gives a glimpse of some of the backdrop for the game, a post-apocalyptic world with a hidden society of ‘Revenants’. Revenants exchange their memories for power, and a thirst for blood. Giving in to said thirst means a Revenant becomes one of the Lost, which is part of the subject of the trailer.

Check out the trailer for a look at the dark world of Code Vein, and some of the enemies in it. The comments are already describing it as ‘Anime Dark Souls’.
