Square Enix has announced that the Summer of Eos has arrived via a free July game update, which introduces Magitek Exosuits for Noctis’ and his posse, ensuring that they’ll look like they’ve just been outfitted for a Crysis cosplay. Alongside the new suits, there’s also a new quest and the update brings back the Moogle Chocobo Carnival. Can I get a ‘Hell Yeah’. No? Oh, ok then.

The new Magitek Exosuits grant 30 minutes of invincibility per day for Noctis’ and his group, helping them take on the dangerous creatures of Eos. The suits initially had much more of a Power Rangers vibe, but have been redesigned to now have an unnecessarily terrifying vibe.

A new quest has been added as part of the update, too. O Partner, My Partner can now be accepted from the Meldacio Hunter HQ after the player has completed chapter 8. There’s also a new Cross Chain collaboration system, which allows players to severely damage strong, defensive enemies by increasing the number of linked attacks. The Cross Chain collab system will be available once players acquire two Royal Arms: Sword of the Wise and Axe of the Conqueror.

Finally, with the return of the popular Moogle Chocobo Carnival, players of all levels can once again set off to Altissia for limited-time-only-mini-games, Chocobo water races and special Moogle Chocobo menu items from the Square Enix Café. This in-game event takes place from July 31 to late September. To gain access to the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, players must have the FFXV Holiday Pack + which is included in the season pass and digital premium edition, or have downloaded the free version of the FFXV Holiday Pack previously.

Final Fantasy XV is out now on PS4 and Xbox One.
