Final Fantasy XV will release worldwide on PS4 and Xbox One on September 30, 2016, according to a Gematsu report.
The site claims to have been told the date by three independent sources “who would have knowledge of the matter”, and who it claims are “reliable”.
Square Enix has previously confirmed that the game’s release date will be announced at this month’s ‘Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV’ event, which takes place in LA on March 30. Fans in the UK will be able to tune in to a livestream of the event as it happens from 3am BST on Thursday, March 31.
Square Enix has so far only confirmed a 2016 launch date for Final Fantasy XV. Alongside a final date, Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV will also set the stage for “major announcements and surprises”, Square says.
A release window for Final Fantasy VII: Remake, meanwhile, has yet to be confirmed.
