Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura has revealed that the game has moved past the concept stage and is now in full development.

Speaking with IGN at E3 this week, Nomura-san said that he jumps back and forth between both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts 3, although with each game he puts '100 percent' into it.

'It's not just in the early concept stages,' he said. 'We are actually in development. So right now, I've been putting 100 percent into Kingdom Hearts and 100 percent into Final Fantasy 7 and 100 percent into Kingdom Hearts and going back and forth.'

While this is obviously good to hear, it's been three years since Final Fantasy VII Remake was first announced, so it's hard to get all that excited. Frankly, we thought we'd be playing part one by now (remember, it's going to be told across multiple parts).

Still, it's not all that surprising considering Square Enix was still hiring for the game just few months back.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently in development for PlayStation 4.
