EA has today announced the development of FIFA Street 3 for Nintendo DS. The game will use the same caricature visuals as seen in the home console versions, creating a unique style that captures the spirit of street football.

The game will feature players representing 18 of the top international teams, with the likes of Rooney, Ronaldinho, Robinson and Peter Crouch all competing in exotic locations scattered around the world.

Touch screen controls will enable players to control all aspects of their team’s performance, including passing and shooting to advanced skills such as juggling, headers and bicycle kicks. A combination of touch screen and simple button controls can also be used to perform combos, with a Team Trick move able to be activated once a Gamebreaker bar is filled.

A single-player mode will see players forming a team around their favourite player and then taking the team from Pretender to Legendary status by completing challenges, developing Team Chemistry, improving the Reputation and unlocking balls, kits and more.

The DS game also features an exclusive mini-game called Kick Ups, challenging players to keep the ball in the air.

FIFA Street 3 is scheduled for release alongside the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions in 2008.
