FIFA 23 comes with up to thirteen new celebrations to choose from, many of which are quite frequently used by football players in real life. Some of the popular new celebrations include:

  • Christian Pulisic’s Eye of The Tiger
  • Diogo Jota’s The Gamer
  • Sam Kerr’s The Flip
  • Roberto Firmino’s Low Five and Flex
  • Kylian Mbappe’s Slide Statue
  • The Haaland Celebration
  • The Griddy (which is probably the most anticipated celebration this year)

Pulling off the celebrations of your choice after scoring a worldie or last-minute winner can be a fun experience.

But it can also be really frustrating if you’re on the receiving end. Maybe you’re the type that doesn’t like to celebrate or watch celebrations after a goal, and you would prefer to go straight to the kick-off line for a quick restart.

Thankfully, you don’t have to sit through any new celebrations that FIFA added this year, some of which can be very annoying.

How to skip the celebration in FIFA 23

The controls for skipping celebrations in FIFA 23 are still the same as before, and you just have to press the R1 and L1 buttons on your PlayStation controller simultaneously.

For Xbox players, you can do this by pressing the RB and LB buttons together to go straight past celebrations. However, you should know that if you have a habit of skipping your opponent’s celebrations, you shouldn’t expect them to sit through yours, either.

Another way to avoid watching your opponent’s celebration is to pause the game and navigate to the settings menu.

You’ll find the visual settings tab where you’ll need to make two changes. First, you’ll need to turn off the ‘Hold to Skip’ option.

Then you’ll change the Celebration Camera Focus setting to “User Controlled Team.” This way, after you concede a goal, you’ll see your team’s angry or dejected reactions instead of the infuriating celebrations of your opponent.
