We are right in the middle of the FIFA 23 Showdown series in Ultimate Team. This means that for the remainder of this week we will get SBCs (Squad Building Challenges) using fixtures from the real world. You complete the SBC for the player you want, if their side wins they get a +2 in ratings, if they draw a +1 and if they lose they stay the same.

The latest Showdown in FIFA 23 is Juventus midfielder against Torino striker Sanabria. It is an interesting match up, in a game that feels as though it could go either way. Juventus definitely have more quality, but they have been incredibly inconsistent so far this season. Let’s take a look into each card and who we think you should vote for, if any at all.
FIFA 23 Showdown: Manuel Locatelli – CDM – 87 Overall
Locatelli looks to be a great defensive option for this league, especially if he got the +2 upgrade, but only really if you’re using a Serie A side. There aren’t many great Italian players outside of Italy, so he wouldn’t be too easy to link.

However, if you do use a Serie A team, you will struggle to find a better defensive midfielder. He may not be as quick as someone like Zambo Anguissa but it is nothing a shadow won’t fix. For under 80,000 coins too, he could be a steal if he fits, it is just a shame he only has three star skill moves.
FIFA 23 Showdown: Antonio Sanabria – ST – 87 Overall
Sadly, it does seem unlikely Torino will be able to get three points out of this match meaning Sanabria will probably remain at 87. However, if you look at his stats, this card is an absolute gunman for less than 60K.

Sanabria boasts 95 positioning, 93 finishing and he also has 94 heading, he has all the tools to be a complete striker. The biggest issue with this card is it will be incredibly hard to link outside of a full Serie A team.

There will be ways to squeeze Locatelli into a hybrid, but there are barely any Torino players worth having in the game and there are less players from Paraguay.
Our Verdict
Neither of these cards are really worth it unless you have a Serie A team due to the chemistry restrictions, however if you do you could get two great cards here.
Despite just how good and complete Sanabria is, our pick will be Locatelli out of the two. Juventus are favourites for the game, and 89 rated CDM could have you set for at least a month.
