FIFA 23 is finally here! Fans of the world’s most popular sports games franchise can now look forward to one of its best features – playing with friends online in Ultimate Team (co-op).

Co-op mode allows you to play FIFA Ultimate Team on the same team as your friends using either your lineup or theirs.

You get to try out cards you don’t own for a limited time while earning rewards for completing matches together. In FIFA 23, a few tweaks have been made to how you can invite friends to play co-op, but it’s still pretty straightforward.

In previous iterations, you could invite a friend to play co-op by pressing R2 (RT for Xbox ) in FUT, but in FIFA 23, pressing R2 will open a new social menu that shows the usernames of your existing friends. However, you can’t invite them from here anymore.

This guide will show you how to play co-op in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

How to Invite Friends on FIFA 23 Ultimate Team

  • Launch FIFA 23 on your PS, Xbox or PC
  • Select Modes and hit Ultimate Team
  • Hit play within FIFA Ultimate Team
  • Navigate to the bottom left beside “Moments” where you’ll see a new icon with two silhouette individuals. This icon indicates the new menu option in Fifa Ultimate Team called “Co-op Lobby.”
  • Select this Co-op Lobby option, and you’ll see an option to “Invite a friend to play:”
  • Choose from your list of existing friends or search for a player tag to invite the one you want to co-op with, and then wait a few moments for them to accept.
  • Once they’ve accepted, you can choose any of the three available modes to play. The modes include Squad Battles, Division Rivals and Online Friendlies.

And that’s it! Enjoy! Remember, you can learn how to add friends in FIFA 23 by following our guide right here.
