We now have sight of what the next promo in FIFA 23 will be. After having a week off of a proper promo rumours started to swirl that we may be approaching the FUT Birthday event, celebrating the start of Ultimate Team. However, after a few leaks we now know to expect FUT Fantasy as the next promo in FIFA 23.

FUT Fantasy is a reactive promo where cards ratings can increase as long as they hit the parameters laid out by EA. Last year the Fantasy cards could go up by three ratings in total: Once if they make 3 appearances in the next 5 games, a second time if they won a match and a third time if they made a contribution.

As it stands we are still unsure on how this will work in FIFA 23, it may follow a different format as right now it is rumoured that Hero Cards will also be included. Here is everything we know so far about FUT Fantasy in FIFA 23.

So far leaks are pointing towards this being a two week promo, the first two week promo we have had in a little while. It is expected the next promo after this will be FUT Birthday.

FIFA 23 FUT Fantasy Release Time

Like all content in FIFA 23, we know to expect the FUT Fantasy promo to drop  at 6PM GMT / 1PM ET / 10AM PT.  If there is a Sunday drop this week, which there normally is, this will also be at the time listed above.

Also, if Hero Cards are to be included they will also be included in this promo and release at a similar time. Where this is set to be a two week promo, it is likely there will be a few SBCs releasing throughout the promo.

FIFA 23 FUT Fantasy Predictions

This event is a good opportunity to give players who have recently changed clubs new cards, representing their new team.

With that in mind, and taking into account previous promos, here is who we predict will be part of the FIFA 23 FUT Fantasy event:

  • CM, Weston McKennie (Leeds/USA) – Weston has recently moved to Leeds to join their USA contingent. He is an incredibly well rounded midfielder and a special card would be a great addition to the league, although Leeds are in very poor form so he may be unlikely to go up.
  • ST, Gianluca Scamacca (West Ham/Italy) – West Ham have struggled for goals this season and Scamacca has been part of this issue. Therefore he has not really received any special cards so him being included in this event could make for a very fun card.
  • CB, Nico Schlotterbeck (Borussia Dortmund/Germany) – Schlotterbeck has had an amazing season, yet he hasn’t really had any special cards. So we think it is about time he is featured in a promo and Dortmund are also in great form right now.
  • ST, Di Natale (Italy/Hero/Udinese) – Hero cards are set to be included in this event and we think Di Natale will be a great pick. If these cards are in this promo, their former club will likely be representing them. So his card will be dictated by Udinese’s form.
  • ST, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Norway/Hero/Manchester United) – Similar case to Di Natale, he has only had one card so far in FIFA 23 and it would be a great way to celebrate Manchester United’s form.
  • RW, Pedro Goncalves (Sporting CP/Portugal) – The Portuguese league hasn’t had much love in FIFA 23, and Goncalves would be a fun option for this promo. He can play in a few different positions, which would help for squad building.
