EA Sports has carried out maintenance on FIFA 13’s online service to address multiple issues reported by users in the days since launch.

The maintenance, which took place during 4am and 6am this morning, is said to have fixed problems relating to connection stability during matchmaking in Seasons mode, trade-pile issues in FIFA 13 Ultimate Team, and disconnections while purchasing FIFA Points.

FIFA 13’s online functionality is now up and running again following the maintenance.

In addition to the online maintenance, EA Sports is currently investigating an issue causing the game’s career mode to freeze “when starting a new career with a team with transferred free agent players”.

Until a permanent fix is found, EA advises players to remove free agents from their customized squad in Career Mode.

FIFA 13 launched across the UK last Friday, selling over one million units over the course of its launch weekend.
