A free update for FIFA 11 will be released today, bringing the squads up to date with the recent movements during the January transfer window.

This means the likes of Fernado Torres will be wearing Chelsea blue, while the injured Andy Carroll will take his place in the starting line-up for Liverpool.

The update also features a some stat changes, notably boosts to Premier League stars Gareth Bale, Andy Carroll and Blackpool’s in-demand Charlie Adam.

Expect the update at some point today on Xbox 360 and PS3, but PC and other platforms will be a little later. To access the update you’ll need to navigate to My FIFA 11, Edit Teams, Squads and finally Download updates.

EA has apologised for the fact it has taken several weeks to get the update ready – citing the complicated nature of the task – but has still beaten Konami’s PES to the punch by some distance.
