Final Fantasy XIII-2, the direct sequel to last year’s FFXIII, will hit European stores on Xbox 360 and PS3 in winter 2011, Square Enix has told VideoGamer.com.
The sequel is said to include a brand new story that stems from XIII and an evolved battle system.
Final Fantasy XIII has shipped more than six million units worldwide, with the Final Fantasy series as a whole having moved over 97 million units as of September 2010.
As we reported earlier, many of the original Final Fantasy XIII development team are returning, including director Motomu Toriyama. This will please the fans of FFXIII, as will news of an evolved battle system..
