The rumblings of an impending Starfield launch can be heard even as it remains far-off and the developers responsible for the Fallout London mod are already preparing themselves for its impact by avoiding a clash with the massive outer space adventure.

According to a progress video posted by the development team, project lead Dean ‘Prilladog’ Carter admitted that they decided to delay their creation due to “a certain space game.” “As a result, we’re making our release for the last quarter [of 2023]. This not only gives you all more time to play Starfield, but also allows us more time for playtesting and bug fixing so it’s a win-win situation,” he continued.

Prilladog also pointed out that they “don’t have any shareholders” breathing down their necks, meaning they won’t be “forced to release things that aren’t ready.” He would then end his announcement by saying “things are all good for the end of the year so far” so the highly-anticipated mod will be released during the holiday season barring any setbacks.

Unfortunately, the team hasn’t provided a specific date for Fallout London’s launch at the time of writing so you’ll have to remain patient in the meantime. However, they’ll most likely be giving out more information after the Starfield release date comes around so you may not have to wait for too long until you get to learn more.

Nevertheless, the DLC-sized mod is still set to be one of the biggest launches of the year for Fallout fans as it will finally let players experience a massive, post-apocalyptic game that takes place in the completely new setting of London.
