F1 2013’s Classic Edition – a premium version of the game featuring the full range of F1 2013’s classic content – costs £10 more than the Standard Edition, judging by early retailer listings.
GAME currently lists the Classic Edition for £49.99, £10 more than the asking price of the Standard Edition, while Amazon wants a whole £10 more, asking £49.99 for the Standard Edition and £59.99 for the Classic.
So what do you get for that extra tenner?
Well, in addition to the 1980s content included in the standard game, you’ll also get access to the bonus 1990s content featuring six “iconic” cars and “a host” of classic drivers, including David Coulthard, Eddie Irvine, Alain Prost. and Jacques Villeneuve, plus the Classic Tracks Pack featuring two tracks: Imola and Estoril.
Standard Edition owners will be able to pick up the content as DLC later in the year.
F1 2013 was announced yesterday for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this September. As well as classic cars and tracks, this year’s game also features enhanced visuals, mid-session saves and the return of Grand Prix Mode. There aren’t any exploding tyres, though.
