Capcom has released a new trailer for upcoming co-op dinosaur sci-fi shooter Exoprimal.
The trailer focuses on the game’s dinosaur foes, including velociraptors, flying Pteranodons, T-Rexes and more. But as any evil genetic-messing AI (or questionable theme park owner) will tell you, vanilla dinosaurs aren’t quite deadly enough. To that end, you’ll also face off against enhanced beasts, spliced with various abilities to give them unique skills in combat.
These include the Neosaurs, which come in a variety of flavours. There’s the long-range attacking Sniper Neosaur, the flying Evoker Neosaur and the tough-as-nails Neo Ankylosaurus. Hey, why not splice in a dinosaur that can breathe fire? The Pyro Neosaur has you covered, quite literally. But hey, it looks like you’ll have an ability where you can briefly take over a T-Rex, so that’ll put the scaly shoe on the other foot for a bit, eh?
Exoprimal is currently in the middle of a summer Closed Network Test. However, while the first two sessions have been and gone, Capcom has re-opened applications to take part in the third. Taking place on August 7, 2022 – you’ll need a Steam account if you want to take part. You’ll have to apply quick, as registration closes tomorrow at 10:59am UK time. But if you get in, you’ll be notified by this time next week. Check here for all the details.
The full game of Exoprimal, meanwhile, is set to arrive at some point in 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. Check out the Exoprimal dinosaur trailer below.
