Experiment101, a studio which was founded in 2015 by ex-Just Cause and Mad Max developers, has just released an announcement trailer for its debut game BioMutant. According to its listing on Amazon.com, ‘BioMutant is a post-apocalyptic, open-world ARPG that delivers real-time melee, shooter and mutant ability action’. So there you have it.

The studio’s founder Stefan Ljungqvist, writing on his LinkedIn page, said that, ‘We will be demoing the studio’s first title on the show floor at GamesCom – an open world action RPG not like anything you’ve seen or played before. We’ve been hard at work on this for some time and I am happy to finally be able to share it. Really looking forward to it. Made with UE4’.

No platforms were confirmed in the trailer, but we can assume from a previous leak that it’s likely to be heading to the PS4, XboxOne and PC and will be published by Koch Media, which seems to be on a roll with its publishing partnerships lately.
