Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have shown off the first gameplay from the upcoming Evil Dead: The Game in a new trailer.

Premiered during last night’s Summer Game Fest Kickoff Show, we’re treated to just under three minutes of gory multiplayer action narrated by Ash Williams himself, Bruce Campbell. The footage breaks down what we can expect when you team up with up to three other friends to take on the Deadites.

On each map, one team will be made up of four players controlling their choice of hero from the movies and TV show Ash vs Evil Dead as previously revealed. The opposing player, meanwhile, takes on the role of the Kandarian Demon and use their powers—including possessing AI-controlled Deadites on the map—to wreck havoc and spoil their day.

Fans of the series should keep their eyes open for the Knowby cabin and Ash’s driveable Oldsmobile Delta. Weapon-wise, you can expect Ash’s Gauntlet, Boomstick, chainsaw and much more to make an appearance in the final game.

Check out the Evil Dead: The Game gameplay trailer for yourself below. The game launches “later this year” on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
