Evidence is beginning to mount for Kinect functionality in the Xbox 360 version of Need For Speed: Most Wanted.

It was noticed over the weekend that a trailer for Criterion’s upcoming racer featured the game’s box art with a ‘Better with Kinect’ banner and a purple case.

Some assumed it was a mistake, largely because a purple Kinect case is never typically used in conjunction with the purple ‘Better with Kinect’ banner.

Purple Kinect cases are usually reserved for Kinect-only titles.

But today, a new trailer released for the game also features the game’s box art – and once again it sports the purple ‘Better with Kinect’ banner.

The purple case, however, has been removed, replaced with a green case instead – just like a typical ‘Better with Kinect’ title.

Given the switch we’d assume that EA is aware of the banner’s inclusion, and its continued appearance leads us to believe that the game will indeed feature Kinect functionality.

EA has yet to officially announce Kinect functionality for Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Could they announce it later tonight?
