Publisher Curve Digital and developer Muse Games have announced multiplayer firefighting game Embr will launch on September 23.

In case you missed the original reveal, the game takes place in a world where have-a-go heroes can be summoned to fight fires via an app called Embr. As one of these wannabe firefighters, you can go solo or team up with friends to take on missions involving fighting fires and “rescuing” civilians.

Completing assignments successfully earns you cash, that you can spend on equipment games. Naturally, there’s a five star ranking system for each missions and more stars equals more money. And just in case firefighting wasn’t enough, you can even take on food delivery or even explosive parcel deliveries too. There’s even the possibility of becoming a DIY safety engineer, as you do.

Compared to the early access version, which released late last year on PC, there’s 2 brand new districts with 12 new levels. 13 new tools and upgrades, five brand new game modes and daily and weekly missions. Cross platform play is also in. There’s a ton of cosmetics, and plenty of difficulty settings and mutators to customise the game how you see fit.

Embr launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on September 23. It’s also playable on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. A physical release for PlayStation and Switch, meanwhile, is set for September 24.
