Players have uncovered a hidden arena in Elden Ring, leading to speculation of potential future DLC.

As spotted by Video Games Chronicle, YouTuber Lance McDonald was able to find a secret colosseum arena in the game. He did so by using a mod for the PC version of the game to explore beyond the world’s boundaries. Doing so, he uncovered a new area, situated in Limgrave and east of the Stormveil Castle area.

An NPC also seems to linger around the entrance to the arena, which seems to lend credence to this being more than background content. As VGC note, a hostile invader also appears to spawn, albeit controlled by the AI. Notably, this appears to be similar to how the game first introduces the concept of player invasions, which has lead fans to speculate the content may be PvP based.

At the time of writing, publisher Bandai Namco is yet to announce any DLC plans for Elden Ring. However, other FromSoftware titles such as the Dark Souls series have  previously had major expansions, making the possibility very likely. Of course, it helps that Elden Ring has been very successful, netting the accolade of the biggest non-CoD and FIFA release since Red Dead Redemption 2.
