Just a month-and-a-half after release, one Elden Ring Nightreign player has already bested the game without attacking a single enemy. In fact, the hardcore soulslike hero not only didn’t attack the game’s huge collection of foes, but they beat the game at the absolute hardest possible difficulty for gits and shingles.

Highly prolific soulslike streamer Skumnut has done it once again. The YouTuber and livestreamer – who is known for crafting killer builds and completing countless challenge runs – has quickly bested FromSoftware’s latest release in spectacular fashion.

Skumnut beats Nightreign without hitting anything

Shown off in a massive 5-hour-long YouTube video, the soulslike legend has managed to beat the entirety of Elden Ring Nightreign without hitting any of the game’s 207 bosses without taking a hit, all at a New Game + 1000 difficulty level to really show their skills. They also didn’t use summons.

“Elden Ring has a LOT of bosses, more than you probably know,” the YouTuber said. “Despite my job LITERALLY being to play Elden Ring… I have never defeated all 207 bosses in this game… until now. I never did this because [I] lowkey I thought doing an all boss run would be a waste of time but I wanted to do one at least once”.

But how did they actually do this? Well, the challenge is possible due to one specific build. Using the thorn-coated Briar Set armour, the YouTuber can simply deal damage to an enemy by dodge rolling which technically isn’t an attack. Additionally, the YouTuber made use of the Rupture Crystal Tear to blow themselves up once-per-fight.

The five-hour challenge run is a huge accomplishment, and shows just how mental Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring players really are. While more Nightreign content is coming to the game in the future, as well as updated Everdark Sovereign bosses, the game has essentially been bested.

Following the release of Nightreign, FromSoftware’s next game on the slate is the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive game The Duskbloods which is another multiplayer-focused game. After the release of that game, FromSoft aims to return to the single-player games it’s known for.
