FromSoftware’s post-launch plans for Elden Ring Nightreign haven’t been officially disclosed, but the studio has confirmed more bosses, enemies and more will arrive in the future. The first content drop for the new co-op game resulted in the first of three Everdark Sovereign bosses, Gaping Jaw, but a new enemy is on the way.

After Gaping Jaw saw a huge 69% spike in player numbers last week, FromSoftware is bringing in the big guns with the arrival of its next powered-up boss.

Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight

Announced by FromSoftware, the next Everdark Sovereign for Elden Ring Nightreign is officially the Darkdrift Knight. The new version of this boss will have a newly expanded moveset and be generally more deadly than before.

Players will be able to start fighting the new version of the Darkdrift Knight on June 26, 2025 at 16:00 CEST | 07:00 PDT | 23:00 JST. This boss is only a limited-time addition to Elden Ring Nightreign with the boss being removed and replaced by a third boss sometime next week.

“Gather your forces, Nightfarers,” FromSoftware told fans on social media. “Only thunderous radiance shall still the sacred echoes of the Night. The Everdark Sovereign version of the Darkdrift Knight will descend upon Limveld.”

The previous Everdark Sovereign boss fight was a major challenge for even skilled Nightreign players when it dropped last week. Even full three-person teams struggled against the more powerful version of Gaping Jaw, and the arrival of this roided-out version of Darkdrift Knight is expected to follow the same trend.
