Bandai Namco and From Software have dropped an Overview trailer for Elden Ring, letting players in for what to expect from the action RPG.

The six minute video covers the high-level what you need to know if you’ve avoided most of the coverage so far. It includes some backstory, with you taking on the role of a Tarnished exploring The Lands Between. Expect mystery, danger and plenty of the trademark bosses ready to ensure your journey isn’t an easy one.

There’s a more open-world feel to the main game, with The Lands Between offering a huge & treacherous playground for you to explore. Enemies of all shapes and sizes roam the land, and there’s plenty of characters to meet along the way. Meanwhile, brave adventurers may want to try their hand at seeking treasure in hidden caves and dungeons. However, if you fancy something a little more familiar, you’ll be searching specifically for the legacy dungeons. They’ll provide for those looking for a slightly more traditional Souls-like challenge.

Alternatively, if you’re nervous about taking on the many challenges alone, you can summon spirits to aid you. Some of these are helpful AI, or you can call on the aid of other players for some jolly co-operation. You can check out all this and more in the Elden Ring overview trailer for yourself down below.

Elden Ring arrives this Friday, February 25 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
