According to God of War III art director Ken Feldman, one of the original designs for the series’ leading man was a comical elf.
“I think it took us a year-and-a-half to come up with Kratos,” said Feldman.
“That was the most difficult thing. Everything had to be based around this character – the story, the weapons. The first guy we came up with was a little elf character, he was hysterical. His animations looked like Disney.”
We can’t imagine how the franchise would have turned out had the team opted to run with the small elf character; a little less sex and violence perhaps.
God of War III is still without a firm UK release date, although in all likelihood it’ll be out March 19.
