FC 25 was a fantastic installment in EA’s annual football series, and now we are a month away from getting EA Sports FC 26. FC 25 made improvements such as finally adding women’s career mode, and there are many improvements to career in FC 26 to keep players returning to the pitch and managerial box. If you don’t want to wait until September, here you will find the release date and time countdown for when the EA Sports FC 26 closed beta will start, and you’ll also find how to get a code.
When does the EA Sports FC 26 closed beta start?
The release date and start time for the EA Sports FC 26 closed beta is 10AM PT/1PM ET/6PM BST on August 6th. This has been revealed through emails sent to selected participants, as shared by UTSources on X.
As for the full release of the game, it is slated to come out on September 26th. However, there is the option of early access starting September 19th if you opt for the Ultimate edition.
Per the PSN store, if you pre-order the Ultimate edition before August 26th, you will get the following:
- Ultimate Team ICON Player Item (untradeable) for EA SPORTS FC 26
- Ultimate Team Player Evolution for EA SPORTS FC 25 (sold separately)
- Ultimate Team 1 of 5 Player Pick ICON Player Item (untradeable) for EA SPORTS FC 25 (sold separately)

How to get EA Sports FC 26 closed beta code
Unfortunately, there’s no guaranteed way to get a code for the EA Sports FC 26 closed beta. Per community manager EA_Pythia on forums, “in order to get the chance to take part in the beta, you will have to sign up for EA Playtesting”.
In addition, EA_Pythia states, “There’s no guarantee given that you will be chosen for the FC 26 Beta, as players are chosen at random”.
When signing up for EA Playtesting, you will need an EA account as well as PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. Again, there’s no guarantee you will receive a code, but, if you sign up for Playtesting, there is a slim chance you will receive a key before the beta ends.
When does the beta end?
Per emails sent to selected participants, the beta will end on August 26th at 10AM PT/1PM ET/6PM BST. There is a chance you can receive a code up until this end date and time from EA, but, again, nothing is guaranteed even if you sign up for EA playtesting.
