It looks like we may have a leaked EA Sports FC release date, thanks to a fairly reliable source claiming EA’s first football game away from the FIFA branding will kick off in September.

The source of the leak is one billbil-kun, who’s previously accurately revealed information ahead of official announcements on games like Mortal Kombat 1, and regularly manages to obtain the PS Plus games hours before their official release. According to their report (as spotted by Video Games Chronicle) the window isn’t one that’s unexpected, coming on September 29, 2023.

While unconfirmed by EA at this time, the report also claims that those who opt for the game’s Ultimate Edition will also get a period of early access for the game – but this time an entire week rather than just a couple of days, meaning they’ll get to play from September 22, 2023. There’ll also, allegedly, be a ten hour trial of the game from that date available to all EA Play members, so that they can get some kickaround time with the game ahead of its official release.

While we will have to take the report with a pinch of salt for now, it’s an exciting time for those looking forward to EA Sports FC 24, as it’s believed that a beta will be taking place for the game this summer with more information surely not far behind. In fact, a tweet from the official EA Sports FC Twitter account claimed we’d be getting more information on the game this July, so stay tuned for confirmation in some form very soon.

As mentioned, EA Sports FC 24 will be the first game under the new moniker, as EA and FIFA split from their partnership in 2022, with FIFA claiming they’d be launching their own games under their name in the future, although there’s been very little further on that front ever since.
