Duke Nukem Forever ended its 14-year development hell earlier this year, but found it tough to impress critics. However, despite generally damning reviews, the game has turned a profit for Take-Two, CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed during an overnight earnings call.

“Despite its disappointing reviews, Duke Nukem Forever was profitable for Take-Two,” said Zelnick.

And we should expect more from the action hero in the future; back in June Zelnick said we will “see future Duke IP coming from this company“.

The game’s first DLC will be out this autumn.
