A demo for FPS Duke Nukem Forever is now available on Xbox LIVE and Steam. The 1.53 GB download (on Xbox) lets you sample a taster of the game so you can decide for yourself if Forever deserved the critical mauling it received. Or, as 2K pointed out on its official forum, you can simply go and kill some pigcops.
The demo was originally released prior to the game’s June 10 debut for members of the Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club.
For more on Duke, read our Duke Nukem Forever review, in which we awarded the game a 4/10.
Considering that Duke didn’t review well, it’s somewhat odd that the publisher would want to release a demo in the first place, but its hands were tied after giving away early access via Borderlands. Have you played the demo? Has it affected your opinion on whether to buy the game or not?
