Kotaku reports that Sony has unveiled a new feature it’s calling PSP Plus, which will make it possible to use a DualShock 3 to control specially developed PSP titles. Thus far only Resistance: Retribution has been confirmed.

To get PSP Plus working gamers will need to connect their PSP to a display device (only the 2000 and 3000 models) and enable the function through Resistance 2 on PS3. The PSP game will then be fully controllable using a DualShock 3, complete with rumble, aim assist will be disabled and new controller layouts will be available to take advantage of the extra buttons.
