Sons of the Forest puts players in the role of a daring protagonist whose mission is to brave the horrors of a hellish island in order to find a family of missing billionaires.

Since most exploration RPGs nowadays tend to have a character creation portion at the beginning of the game, players are now wondering if Sons of the Forest also has this particular feature. Luckily, we’re here to answer this exact question for you, so keep reading in order to find out.
Will Sons of the Forest have Character Creation?
Unfortunately, Sons of the Forest does not have character creation as you immediately start the game with a pre-made protagonist. Other players that join you on your quest will similarly not have the ability to customize their avatars, and will seemingly instead play the part of already stranded survivors.

As mentioned before, your primary goal as the main character is to explore the island in search of a family of missing billionaires. The game begins with the protagonist already being flown in to the island on a chopper, which means you also won’t be able to customize any other aspect of your character.
Unfortunately, the chopper is then shot down and that’s when the journey through the supernatural island commences. The items, weapons, and structures that you can use during your adventure all need to be discovered and crafted, which means you’ll need to be quick before the mutated creatures and cannibals hunt you down.
It’s worth noting, though, that the introduction of mods through the Steam workshop may eventually remedy the exclusion of this feature. However, its addition is still yet to be confirmed officially so it’s important to take this information with a grain of salt.
