Disney Interactive Studios has announced the November 2008 release of Bolt, the video game of the movie. The game will follow the story of Bolt, a super hero dog in a TV show. Players will be able to play as Bolt in his TV show and travel to five international locations. Being a super dog, he’s got many super powers, including laser vision and superbark.

Bolt’s owner Penny will also be playable, with her stealth and hacking skills being used against the enemies in the game. Her scooter from the movie will also make an appearance.

“Bolt uses the film as a springboard, expanding upon the action and dynamic story elements, to provide a fun, challenging experience for gamers,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. “With Bolt, Avalanche Software looks to further its reputation as a premier developer of compelling animated games for a broad audience.”

Bolt is scheduled for release this November on Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and Windows-based PC.
