Activision Publishing boss Mike Griffith confirmed last night during an earnings call that the publisher “will launch a major restage of the business with all new differentiated Guitar Hero products” in the second half of 2009.
This will be joined by DJ Hero, a new title which extends the franchise. No further details were offered, but Griffith did note that the publisher will be sharing further details on both its Guitar Hero line-up and DJ Hero in the future.
Earlier in the year Activision also plans to release a new Gutiar Hero title for DS and a compilation game for home consoles. The next title in the franchise to hit stores will be Guitar Hero Metallica, which is set for a March release on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
