After threatening legal action earlier this year, Diego Maradona has signed an agreement with Konami that ensures he will appear in the Japanese publishers games through to 2020.

Following El Diego’s discovery of Pro Evolution Soccer, Konami and the living legend settled the dispute out of court. Last month, El Eco de Tandil reported that Maradona would become an ambassador of sorts for the game, once the t’s were crossed and i’s dotted.

So, going forward, literally nothing will change.

Absolutely nothing.

Diego Maradona has appeared in PES for as long as I can remember. Yeah, at one point he was called Malgani, but still.

Regardless, Diego Maradona will be in PES until 2020. Terrific.
