Now that the arrival of the Vessel of Hatred DLC is only a few weeks away, plenty of improvements are set to take Sanctuary by storm. Although most of the significant tweaks will naturally center on the new region, Nahantu, and the new Spiritborn class, the Diablo 4 devs will also make another important change to the teleport feature.

According to Diablo 4 content creator Rob2628 (and confirmed by Diablo senior vice president Rod Fergusson), the major update arriving alongside the Vessel of Hatred release date will allow players “to set a favorite waypoint to teleport [to] immediately.” Whereas before you would be transported to the region’s major city (Kyovashad, Ked Bardu, Cerrigar, etc.) by pressing T, this change will enable you to head to a specific location instead.

For instance, you could set the Tree of Whispers as your favorite waypoint so you can quickly teleport there after you earn enough Grim Favors. Or, you could also set Denshar in Kehjistan or Alzuuda in the Dry Steppes as your favorite if you want to have an easier time getting to the game’s PvP areas. Of course, you can only set one waypoint as your favorite, although it will be marked with a banner icon on your map so you can find it easily (per Wowhead).

Now, even though this is coming as part of the Vessel of Hatred update, it will be a permanent feature that will also be included in the base game. So, even if you don’t plan on playing the expansion, you’ll still be able to use it as you progress through the Season 6 journey.
