Diablo 4 presents its community with a wide array of content both in the early and late game that makes fans want to keep coming back for more. However, no feature is arguably more integral to the demon-slaying experience than the inclusion of the increasingly difficult Nightmare Dungeons.

With Diablo 4 Nightmare Dungeons making up a major part of the fourth series installment’s post-campaign content, players predictably keep themselves busy by constantly making and using the Sigils needed to partake in these endgame activities. Unfortunately, a large number of people have realized that once you reach higher levels, the cost for creating these items become so absurd that you’re often left without any resources to make another one.

For this reason, some players have now turned to Reddit in order to voice their concerns over these frustratingly costly late game content prices. Yuri_Yslin even went so far as to describe Sigil crafting as the “#1 worst thing about endgame D4” because of “how prohibitively expensive it is.” “400 dust for 1 attempt to roll a NMD 75 sigil? Too bad that unless you have absolute BIS (best-in-slot) [items] in every slot, not every 75+ sigil is playable,” they continued.

Yuri_Yslin would go on to say that some Nightmare Sigils are an automatic rejection “because they have Corpse Bows or Ghosts onboard,” while others are simply an unenjoyable experience due to the horrid modifiers that are present within, like “Resource Burn or Lightning Storm.” “So in the end, I play 1 out of 10 NMD75+ and then it’s back to NMD50-60 to farm for dust,” they finished.

Most of the comments below the post creator’s thread naturally agreed with their sentiment as xGenocidest said: “I hope they re-work Sigils soon. The modifiers are dogsh*t. Spend almost as much time deleting the ones you don’t want [than] actually doing them.” WeirdSysAdmin, on the other hand, merely noted that they “refuse to believe developers actually tested the game from character creation through Nightmare [Dungeon level] 100” because of these insane late game prices.

Unfortunately, since there are already a ton of planned improvements for future seasons in the pipeline, an overhaul to the Diablo 4 Sigil crafting economy may not be too high up on the agenda for the development team. But since the community has already started bringing it up with other players, it may only be a matter of time until the game’s hardworking developers have no choice but to provide a fix for it as well.
